With only a few weeks left of summer and fall just around the corner, we’re looking forward to cooler nights and sumptuous holiday meals. More importantly, for antique-aficionados like us, the new season means some of the best antique shows across the country. From coast to coast, we’ve got your guide to this fall’s best antique furniture, art, and jewelry shows. Here’s the line-up:
1. Houston Antiques + Art + Design Show
September 18 – September 20
After 50 years as the HADA Antiques, this show is re-branding as Houston Antiques + Art + Design Show. The show will feature 125 exhibitors from the U.S., Canada and Europe in beautiful room-settings offering fine antique furniture, decorative, and fine arts, representing all design movements from ancient to 20th-century modern. Presented by Dolphin Promotions.
2. Fall Round Top Antiques Fair
September 28 – October 3
Round Top, Texas is famous for some of the nation’s best antique shows, including the Original Round Top Antiques Fair, Marburger Farms and Arbor. Celebrating its 48th year in Round Top, the Original Round Top Antiques Fair has over 30,000 square feet of beautifully displayed early Americana furniture and accessories. Marburger Farms features more than 350 dealers from across the United States and the world. Arbor features more than 1,200 antiques & collectibles vendors displaying their wares at the show.
3. Palm Springs Modernism Show–Fall Event
October 9 – October 11
The second-annual Palm Springs Modernism Show this fall will feature 45 national and international dealers offering furniture, decorative and fine arts representing all design movements of the 20th century at its new location: the Palm Springs Air Museum. Presented by Dolphin Promotions.
4. High Point Market: Fall Market 2015
October 17 – October 22
The High Point Market is the largest furnishings industry trade show in the world, bringing more than 75,000 people to High Point every six months. The market has dozens of venues, but (of course), our favorite is the Antique & Design Center of High Point, which features exquisite antiques, original works of art, and one-of-a-kind finds. You’ll be sure to find some of the best HighBoy dealers there: Alhambra Antiques, Arcanum, Caroline Faison Antiques, Craig Ringstad and Don Fields Antiques, Fletcher Copenhaver Fine Art, French Bleu, Lola & Bess, and Nancy Price.
5. The San Francisco Fall Antiques Show
October 22 – October 25
The San Francisco Fall Antiques Show is the oldest continuously operating international art and antiques show on the west coast. The show features approximately sixty dealers from across the United States and Europe, offering for sale an extraordinary range of fine and decorative arts from around the world representing all styles and periods, including furniture, silver, ceramics, glass, jewelry, rugs, textiles, paintings, prints, photography, books, sculpture and objets d’art.
6. Hillsborough Antiques + Art + Design Show
November 6 – November 8
The Hillsborough Antiques + Art + Design Show, benefiting the United Veterans Services, will feature over 200 exhibitors from across the U.S., Canada and Europe offering fine antiques and decorative arts representing all design movements of the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries and introducing vintage 20th century modern.
7. Theta Charity Antiques Show
November 12 – November 15
In its 63rd year, the Theta Charity Antiques Show is considered one of the top antiques shows in the country and the highest caliber show in the South. The show funds are obtained solely through the sale of tickets, underwriting and advertising sales, and receives no monies from the sale of antiques displayed at the show. Since its inception, the Theta Charity Antiques Show has donated over $6 million dollars to educational, cultural arts, medical research and community endeavors in the Houston area.
8. The New York Pier Antique Show
November 14 – November 15
The Pier Antique Show features hundreds of exhibitors featuring quality antique furniture, jewelry, decorative and fine arts. Items featured on the show floor include an array of kitchen and home décor, paintings, antique jewelry, art glass, ceramics and more from a variety of popular periods throughout history including Victorian, Art Deco and Modernism. Presented by US Antique Shows.
9. Boston Home Décor Show
November 19 – November 22
Boston Home Décor Show is designed to capture the evolution of the market and include a broad range of historic, modern and contemporary furnishings, fine art and design, offering everything from antiques to the finest in today’s home décor. Boston Home Décor Show acknowledges the emergence of a younger collector interested in owning iconic works of their own generation, and a less stylistically restrictive interior design that embraces both old and new.
10. New York Art, Antique, & Jewelry Show
November 20 – November 24
Located at the Park Avenue Armory, the New York Art, Antique, & Jewelry Show features over 70 renowned antique and vintage dealers from all over the world. Presented by Palm Beach Show Group.
