Winter is finally here, and with the warm sweaters and hot chocolate comes some of the best antiques shows of the year. All across the country the top dealers in antique furniture, art, and jewelry are preparing for an exciting season of world-renowned antiques shows. We’ve got your guide to this winter’s best and brightest antiques shows. Here’s our top 10:
1. The Sarasota Art & Antiques Show
January 14 – January 17
With over 50 dealers from both North America and Europe with antiques ranging from furniture and paintings, to jewelry and vintage clothing, the Sarasota Art & Antiques Show will kick off 2016 with a phenomenal variety of antique treasures. Weekend tickets (Friday-Sunday) can be purchased at the door for $8. An early-buying preview gallery will be taking place on Thursday, January 14. Proceeds from the event will go to Designing Women, a charity that helps to grow Sarasota’s arts and human services organizations. Tickets to the gallery are $50 and are available for purchase online.
2. LA Art Show
January 14 – January 18
The LA Art Show is the largest and longest running, as well as the most culturally diverse, platform for fine arts. It brings in the largest group of Korean, Chinese, and Japanese artists outside of Asia. It’s also known for it’s wide variety of art, being the first antiques show to represent diverse art genres. Guests will experience more than 120 galleries with art representing 22 countries, and art in modern, contemporary, historic and traditional designs, as well as works on paper, sculpture and installations, all in one art fair.
3. Miami Antiques + Art + Design Show
January 22 – January 24
Perfectly timed just days before The Original Miami Beach Antiques Show, the Miami Antiques + Art + Design Show shows off the unique art and antique communities in the Miami area. Over 100 dealers will be there with unique art, furniture, and jewelry. This show is right next to Miami’s famous Miracle Mile shopping district.
4. The Original Miami Beach Antiques Show
January 28 – February 1
Located in the heart of Miami, The Original Miami Beach Antiques Show is known as the world’s largest indoor antiques show. For 50 years it has attracted thousands of collectors, dealers, gallery owners and antique lovers from all over the world. Over 1,000 dealers will be featured at the event, each showing beautiful antique treasures for every kind of antique collector.
5. Palm Beach Jewelry, Art, & Antique Show
February 10 – February 16
The Palm Beach Jewelry, Art, & Antique Show is one of the most highly anticipated shows of the winter season. The show will be celebrating 13 years as a hallmark of the Palm Beach community during Presidents’ Day weekend. Over 180 international exhibitors will be featuring a stunning collection of antiques from a wide variety of styles and time periods, drawing thousands of antique enthusiasts to the Palm Beach County Convention Center.
6. Palm Springs Modernism Show & Sale
February 12 – February 15
The 16th annual Palm Springs Modernism Show takes place during Modernism Week; a week that is devoted to mid-century architecture and design. It will feature 85 premiere dealers and exhibitors presenting furniture and art representing all design movements in the 20th century, with an emphasis on mid-century designs. The opening gala will benefit Modernism Week, and will kick off the rest of the show.
7. Naples Art, Antique & Jewelry Show
February 19 – February 23
Located right next to Naples’ renowned Fifth Avenue shopping and entertainment district will be the Naples Art, Antique, and & Jewelry Show. Over 60 exhibitors with antiques from all over the world will be present. Guests can look forward to over 50,000 square feet of fine art, antique and estate jewelry, furniture, porcelain, Asian art, American and European silver, glass, textiles, sculpture, contemporary art and more, ranging from the antiquities to the 20th century.
8. Hillsborough Antiques, Art, and Design Show
February 26 – February 28
The Hillsborough Antiques, Art, and Design Show in San Mateo, CA features over 200 dealers from all over the US and Canada. It brings antiques spanning from the 17th Century to the 20th Century. The show benefits the United Veterans Service, which raises funds to help meet the needs of hospitalized Veterans in Veterans Affairs Medical Centers throughout the nation.
9. LEUER Spring Show
March 13 – March 15
New York City is home to some of the most highly anticipated antique shows. LEUER is an ultra-chic show featuring antique watches and jewelry. This show features elite antique jewelry and watch dealers who will be bringing beautiful, rare, luxurious antique jewelry to New York for those with luxurious taste in jewelry.
10. Houston Antiques + Art + Design Show
March 18 – March 20
The Houston Antiques + Art + Design Show will round off the winter season with a spectacular antiques show, displaying antiques from ancient to to 20th century design movements. Eighty premiere exhibitors with room settings featuring fine antique furniture, decorative, and fine arts.
